Best Residential RDP

A full Windows desktop behind an address issued by AT&T, Spectrum, CenturyLink or Verizon Fios — held for as long as you keep the plan.

Best Residential RDP

What Residential RDP is

Microsoft develops a secure network communications protocol called Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). It connects computers over a network through a graphical interface, so an administrator can reach hosted desktops and applications from anywhere. With Residential RDP, that desktop's public address is issued by a consumer ISP rather than a hosting company.

Residential RDP is very handy for teams that need to diagnose, verify or test from a genuine consumer vantage point. ProxyRDP provides Residential RDP and Residential Proxy services at an affordable rate, from datacentres in the USA, UK and Europe.

What is included

Every desktop ships with Windows 10 or 11, administrator access, guaranteed rather than burstable RAM, NVMe-backed storage and a 100 Mbps or 1 Gbps port. The address is reputation-checked before handover and replaced free of charge if it arrives already listed on a blocklist relevant to your use case.

Access is through an authenticated gateway rather than a raw 3389 port, and multi-factor authentication is available on every plan. Our hardening checklist covers the first hour on a new machine.

When to choose it

Choose a residential desktop when the work is interactive, when the software will not respect a proxy setting, or when you need a persistent identity — a browser profile, saved logins, a stable fingerprint — that survives between sessions. If your workload is a script, a residential proxy is cheaper and scales further.

Questions

Best Residential RDP FAQ

A standard Windows client licence permits one interactive session at a time, so a second sign-in disconnects the first. For genuine concurrent multi-user access you need either separate desktops or a Windows Server host with Remote Desktop Services licensing, which we can quote for.
In almost every case it is the UDP transport being blocked, which forces all traffic over TCP. Check the connection-quality indicator in the RDP title bar: if it reports TCP only, open UDP on your RDP port. After that, reduce colour depth to 16-bit and disable desktop background and window animations. Our RDP hardening checklist walks through the full tuning process.
Yes. You have administrator access and can install anything that is properly licensed and lawful. We ask that you do not run mining software, mail relays or anything that generates abuse complaints, since that damages the IP address for everyone.
